Another great in-class field trip from Teachers Pet! Thank you again to all of our parent volunteers for helping it run smoothly! We really enjoyed making and labeling our clay models of the earth and its landforms and oceans (which we are also studying in Social Studies). The VR headsets were amazing! From looking into a volcano to walking with polar bears you really felt like you were there. Learning how all of the animals and plants on earth are interconnected and how the earth rotates around the sun were just two more learning experiences that were packed into a very busy morning!
Here is a sneak peek of our top secret Mother's Day Project! We can't wait to see how it turns out!
We had so much fun on our field trip to the Clay Studio and the Heritage Museum on Monday last week! Thank you very much to all of the parents who were able to volunteer and make our day such a success! Special thanks to Oban's dad, Sam, for the beautiful black and white photos he took. :)
We really enjoyed listening to the stories from our presenter in the Heritage Museum about Iqaluit and all of the facts she shared with us about Inuit culture. We made our own collage to represent what we learned afterwards. They are now on display in our classroom.
What a beautiful morning at the Botanic Park! We are so fortunate to have this amazing space within walking distance. We enjoyed completing a Fall Scavenger Hunt and using all of our senses to help us make observations like scientists do! Thank you very much to all of our parent helpers who were able to make it out on such short notice!
